Americas Lodging Industry Summit (ALIS) for 2010
at San Diego Hilton Bayfront
The hotel industry’s largest annual conference attracted more than 2000 attendees to the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. American Audio Visual Center prevailed over ten bidders and overturned a five-year incumbent to win the complete production of this prestigious event. All of the leading hotel and resort brands are represented and the conference is well known for all of the high-level deal-making that goes on in and around General Sessions, Break-outs and a full Exhibit Hall. In addition, the program includes the taping of nine, half-hour television programs (ALIS TV) that are produced on a separate floor from the main conference activities.
All general sessions as well as the ALIS TV programs are broadcast live and on a tape-delayed basis throughout the hotel sleeping rooms. The General Sessions featured a 72-foot wide by 12-foot high screen with eight seamless projectors showing High-Definition video and the sound system featured a full line array.
The energetic opening production number, featuring a re-written Broadway hit song (“Don’t Nobody Bring Me No Bad News”) was performed by American Idol finalist, Stephany Edwards and her back-up singers were drawn from leading ALIS members who had a day to learn their choreography!
All aspects of the program were completely staged, managed and supported by AAVC’s Blue Avenue production team under the leadership of Executive Producer, Mike Watt.
